Locations
The first part of the Institute of Power Transmission and High-Voltage Technology is located at the University's campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen. The second part of the institute, a modern High Voltage Laboratory, is located in Ostfildern-Nellingen. Both parts of the institute are easily accessible by public transport or by car.

Park at the parking ground P2 (only open from 9 o’clock) or at the parking ground close to the gateway 47 and follow the marked way on the plan to building Nr. 47.

From Stuttgart central station you can travel to the University by the Regional Metro Lines (S-Bahn): Line S1 to Herrenberg, Line S2 to Filderstadt, Line S3 to the Airport. Travel time between central station and University is 12 min.
From the airport you can travel to the University by the Regional Metro Lines (S-Bahn): Line S2 and Line S3 to central station. Travel time between the Airport and the University is 17 min. Get off at the station Universität and turn to exit Universitätszentrum.

- follow L1202 up to the next big junction and turn left into Esslinger Straße
- after the traffic circle follow the Denkendorfer Straße and turn left into Hindenburgstraße
- turn left at the next big junction into Rinnenbachstraße and keep going straight up to Zinsholzstraße
- turn left into Nielsenstraße and follow the street up to Nr. 18

From Stuttgart central station you can travel to the High Voltage Laboratory Ostfildern by the Stadtbahn (subway) line U7 in direction Ostfildern. Get off at the stop Ruit Zinsholz, travel time will be about 20 minutes. Follow the marked footpath, it will take you about 5 minutes.
From the airport you can travel to the High Voltage Laboratory Ostfildern by the Regional Metro Lines (S-Bahn): Line S2 and Line S3 to central station Travel time between the Airport and the University is 20 minutes. Change at the central station to the Stadtbahn (subway) U7 in direction Ostfildern. Get off at the stop Ruit Zinsholz, travel time will be about 20 minutes.
